MedConsultHQ is recruiting on behalf of a reputable healthcare client in Dubai, UAE, seeking an experienced Consultant Breast Surgeon to join its specialist medical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly qualified surgeon with expertise in the diagnosis, surgical management, and multidisciplinary treatment of breast diseases, including benign breast conditions and breast cancer.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong surgical expertise, excellent clinical judgement, and a compassionate, patient-centred approach to breast health. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with radiologists, pathologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care throughout the patient journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive breast consultations, clinical examinations, and assessments for patients presenting with breast conditions.

• Diagnose and manage benign and malignant breast diseases.

• Perform appropriate breast surgical procedures, including breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy, and other indicated interventions within the scope of clinical privileges.

• Evaluate patients with breast lumps, abnormal imaging findings, and other breast-related concerns.

• Develop individualised treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary breast care teams.

• Participate in breast cancer diagnosis, staging, surgical planning, and ongoing treatment coordination.

• Provide preoperative assessments, postoperative management, and long-term follow-up care.

• Counsel patients on diagnoses, treatment options, surgical risks, recovery, and breast health.

• Coordinate with radiology and pathology teams to support accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment decisions.

• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with applicable clinical guidelines, patient safety standards, and UAE healthcare regulations.

• Participate in multidisciplinary tumour board meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

• Recognised medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).

• Relevant postgraduate qualifications in General Surgery, Breast Surgery, or an accepted equivalent specialty.

• Recognised Consultant-level credentials appropriate to the position and applicable UAE licensing requirements.

• Substantial clinical experience in breast surgery and the management of benign and malignant breast conditions.

• Demonstrable competence in relevant breast surgical procedures.

• Experience working within a multidisciplinary breast cancer care team.

• Eligibility for the appropriate UAE healthcare professional licence, including a Dubai Health Authority (DHA) licence where applicable.

• Excellent clinical judgement, communication, and decision-making skills.

• Strong commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and compassionate care.

• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
