MedConsultHQ is representing a leading healthcare client in Dubai in the search for an experienced Western-trained Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join its specialist medical team.

This opportunity is suited to a highly qualified OBGYN consultant with strong clinical experience, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based and patient-centred women’s healthcare.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive specialist obstetric and gynaecological care across an appropriate range of clinical services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological consultations and assessments.
• Diagnose and manage a broad range of women’s health conditions.
• Provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care in accordance with clinical expertise and hospital protocols.
• Manage routine and high-risk obstetric cases within the candidate’s scope of practice.
• Perform appropriate gynaecological procedures and surgical interventions.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient management.
• Counsel patients regarding diagnosis, treatment options, reproductive health and preventive care.
• Work collaboratively with midwives, nurses, anaesthetists, neonatologists, fertility specialists and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold high standards of patient safety and clinical governance.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives and service development where required.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• A recognized specialist qualification in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
• Western training and/or specialist certification from a recognized healthcare system.
• Significant post-specialist experience at Consultant level.
• Demonstrable experience across general obstetrics and gynaecology.
• Experience managing a diverse range of obstetric and gynaecological patients.
• Strong clinical judgement and commitment to evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A compassionate, patient-centred approach to women’s healthcare.
• Eligibility for professional licensing in the United Arab Emirates, subject to applicable regulatory requirements.
